Sound Configuration Software

In order to configure the speakers the M9517C with Windows Vista 64 bit Home Premium, I should have either Realtek HD Audio Manager or the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Sound Card .  Neither of the applications are present on my machine.  Is there an HP site where I can download the software?

Thanks

Re: Sound Configuration Software

Try this. You could just login the computer, look on the bottom right corner of your screen, next to the time, there's a white speaker icon in Vista. Rightclick on it, choose Playback Devices, when the windows comes up make sure it says Speakers if you got speakers plugged in, and make sure it says Working and that it has a green checkmark meaning it's the default playback device meaning is in charge of playing your sound. If it doesn't rightclick it choose Set of Default Playback device.

To configure it, right click on the gray Speaker icon in that window and choose Configure or Properties and you should have your configurations there to choose Stereo or 5.1 surround depending on your speaker set.

Best of luck.
