Sound input

My brand new machine is a HP9110t. I am trying to capture analog video with sound and have come furthest with the pre-installed program Video Impression 2. I have connected the PC to a VCR with regular antenna cable. Here I am able to select the video input >Hauppauge WinTV 885 video< and get a picture, however no sound. In the Audio section of Video Impression 2 - I have the choice of >Microphone (my Skype Handset)<, WebCam microphone and Digital-In Creative SB X-Fi. None of these options works.
I have also tried to use the front A/V plugs - Yellow, White, Red, but the problem seems to be the same. I can get a picture, but no sound.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Sound input

Hi mkcfl09,

See if the steps mentioned in this HP Support document can help you capture that video and audio:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01285803&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=4003099#N59...

You can also use Windows Movie Maker in Vista to capture your movies: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00880685&cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&product=4003099

Let us know how it goes.
