Sound is too soft at 100

Desktop Model # a6803w

Operating system: Vista

Network: Netgear

Antivirus: AVG

Sound: Realtek High Definition Audio

Describe Problem

I need help!

I have tried everything I can think of to resolve the problem of low sound. My sound is up to 100% and I can not hear DVD's, or music or webinars. I have read all the articles HP has posted and tried all of them except opening the Bios.  (I am not sure I have enough experience on the computer to try.) I have also done a through search on sound in my computer and that did not help the situation.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestion as to what I can do to have sound quality? Thank you in advance.

Linda

When did this problem first start and did you make any changes or updates about that time?

Hi Big Dave,

Good question I am not exactly sure. It's been an on going problem.
