Speaker Options

I just purchased the HP L1908w Monitor and thought they have insructions for using the LCD silver speaker bar, I have speakers and cannot find where o connect them to.  Do I need to get the speaker bar only for this monitor or can  U use my own speakers?

hmmm, I looked around on HP.com a bit.

In the User Guide for the monitor it mentions the accessory rails:

"The monitor features accessory rails on the rear that can be used to mount optional devices, such as

the HP speaker bar, to attach to the LCD. Refer to the documentation included with the optional device

for detailed mounting instructions."

You're right though, I can't find any detailed setup information. It looks like you just fit the little tabs (1) into the horizontal slot on the back underside of the monitor. The connect the USB and Green audio plug to the back of the PC.
