6500f freezes on start up

2008 6500f  freezes on startup...I managed to Safe mode..if I use Recovery Manager will "recover your computer to its orginal factory condition" remove all my data files..ie: pictures, word doc address files etc.?

Yes it will format the hdd clearing it of everything and reinstall Windows. It will give the opportunity to back up files so if you have an external backup hdd that should help.
