HP OS Recovery Disc-Hp Recovery Manager

[ Edited ]

Recovery Manager is useful for all sorts of tasks,from burning your Recovery Disk set to reinstalling individual drivers or even doing a complete reinstall of your Operating System.Backup of personal files before doing a Recovery is important.Do not depend on the included feature to backup files during a Recovery of OS.

Imo,creating your Recovery Disk set is the first and foremost task on a new machine.

Hi Domjaq,

         How did you do the backup?, if your using some other software, probably you could try the recovery manager it does have an option to create a backup for the entire {C}Drive.

Reply if you need more info..

Re: Discover and use Recovery Manager

The solution to this problem is: add another "0" infront of all the files from 10 on... backup.010.fbw - becomes - backup.0010.fbw backup.011.fbw - becomes - backup.0011.fbw backup.012.fbw - becomes - backup.0012.fbw and so on. Then run the .exe file that is in the folder and the recovery manager should start the recovery process

@jqteo

HP probably doesn't still provide Recovery Disks if your machine is over 4-5 yrs old.They can be found at other sites. What is the model of your machine?  Locating Model Number
