HP Pavilion slimline 3700

My computer does not turn on yet the green light in the back is on.  What could be the matter? I already tried another plug (which works) .  What could be the matter?

Marilug, it could be a failed power supply unit (PSU), since the computer is 3 years old.  Here is a guide to help troubleshoot the problem.

Someonetold me that if I saw green light in the back, it was not the power supply.  Is taht so? The CPU does not turn on at all.
