Hp pav a6567c no ethernet after recovery

I have hp pavilion a6567c vista 64bit. I did a system recovery and now I can't get internet through the ethernet port.<br>I tried dling original lan sp37409 but it says I don't meet the requirements. Then something said I needed chipset driver but I can't find it anywhere, the download links on hp say 404 error. Any ideas?

The Intel Chipset driver is on the link below.

After installing this, restart the PC before trying to install the ethernet driver - the download for the Realtek LAN driver is on the following link.

I am using my phone to post since my pc is offline. I get the "webpage not available" from those links. Is it the links or my mobile, I can't get on another pc till later so I can't tell.

Hi,

It may be because the links use ftp protocol so you may need to access another PC to download them.

Try the modified versions below to see if this is any more successful.

The links work fine chipset driver installed fine but i still get the "does not meet system requirements" error when I try to install lan.

Hi,

Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Network Adapters.  Do you see the ethernet adapter listed here?

In device manager I have various wan miniports and a ras async adapter, I have show nonpresent devices set to 1.

So the Realtek device is not listed even when viewing hidden devices

In that case, I would suggest shutting down the PC and removing the access cover and follow the procedure to 'clear the CMOS' found under Clearing the Bios Settings on the link below.

If that doesn't help the issue, it may be a Hardware failure - you could always try an ethernet expansion card in your PCI or PCI Express x 1 slot.

Is there any kind of way to get passed the 9996 update has been canceled error when I try to install the lan driver?

I checked bios and for some reason onboard lan was off, turned it on and internet works fine. Thank you
