I have a Compaq Presario SR1620NX that has it's recovery files in a partitioned area on the hard drive. The o.s. was originaly XP but with all the windows up-dates it is now XP sp3. The computer recently had a critical error and I had to do a system recovery. It took all day to get the system up-dated to it's modern configuration. My question is , can I make a recovery cd or dvd that would recover the computer to todays configuration and if so how?
Thanks

Yes, it is possible to make "recovery DVD's" using disk imaging or disk cloning software. Just do an internet search for "cloning a hard drive" or "imaging a hard drive" as there are so many choices both freeware and retail. Read the information you find and choose the one that best fits your needs and budget.
