Hi,
I have an M8530F and the hard drive suffered complete failure. I was planning on purchasing a new hard drive for this machine and order recovery discs. Will the recovery discs install on this machine when a new (non-original) hard drive is installed? Thanks.

Yes, purchasing a new hard drive and recovering with HP recovery discs should work fine. It is best to use the same size hard drive as factory installed as issues may otherwise occur.

Thank you for your reply. Did you purchase the same size hard drive as the original or did you purchase a different size? Thanks.
