want to help a student with her computer. It's a desktop model Pavillion. I son't know the number but it came with two sata hd's. I guess the recovery system is the same on all. She has no recovery discs.

The hd with the os (windows) has crashed. The other one seems ok and I assume it has the recovery data. Do I need any discs or code/key to recover the system? Will recovery still work if I change the os harddrive? any tips/advice most appreciated.

Lennart, welcome to the forum.

It is nice of you to help this student! :smileywink:

We will require the model to help you fully.  When we have this information, we will look at the specifications to answer your questions.
