I'm looking to try to repair my Windows 7 install on a z400.
the current problem is when the machine boot's it goes to "Windows Boot Manager".
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix this problem:
1.Insert your window installation disk and resart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and click next.
3. Click "Repair your computer"
We only have 3 x HP DVD's, when inserted and booted from, it goes to HP Resore Plus!. It immediatley ask's to format the drive and re-insall the OS... how do we access the repair funstions???
cheers Richard

Hi,
You need Windows installation dics NOT the Recovery set. We have to pay for the sticker and we can not get the installation dics. I know Dell charges $A2.20 for this disc with the machine.
Regards.

Richard,
You don't mention which version of Windows 7 your system is running or if it is 32bit or 64bit, so I can't provide a direct link. Here is a link to a My Digital Life webpage that provides links to many different ISO images of Windows 7. These downloads are hosted by digital river, a microsoft hosting partner. Download and burn the ISO as an image to a DVD. Boot from this DVD and you can repair your boot manager issue.
