Despite the text indicating that it is a firmware update, it does appear that it is indeed a BIOS update. It just isn't updated in the same way as most systems are.
When selecting the second option, how is the ISO being placed on the disk?
When you get the message to press any key to boot from CD, what happens when you press a key?

just downloaded and verified that the SP59753 BIOS update for 320-1030 works. It creates the disc using either the ISO or the Create Bootable disc options.
Most common failure is bad media.
What that measns is that I would re-try creating the disc, by first redownloading the patch, and re-creating the disc with new, and different media. To make sure it is good. The checks we use when creating a bootable disc to upgrade a BIOS are significant, and if the disc is bad, we will not allow it to mess up your PC.
Re-create and try again...
until it works.
I verified the file is good on the server. And I completed the BIOS upgrade succesfully just now.

This will provide you with the current bios version for this computer .Any thing you wish to try after that is at your own discretion.
