Hi enrico. Many thanks for all your help so far. I am now totally confused. I do not know what a video card is nor how to access it. I now understand what you mean by not using the motherboard at the back of the pc as per your illustration which is what I have been doing but I now need to find the video card outputs and am lost.
Why are those two ports as per the illustration inactive. It doesnt make sense. is it a design fault?

It is good to see that my explanation made sense to you as to which of the outputs were video cards and not motherboard onboard video outputs.
I explained why those ports don't work two times.
It is not a design flaw.
It makes perfect sense to deactivate them whenever a video card is installed. Doing that ensures that there are no video output port conflicts.

Thanks Enrico. This is a brand new pc straight out of the box and I haven't added anything to it. However I managed to find the other port that you mentioned and the issue is now resolved so thank you for your help.
You are very welcome.
