Can I add a video card to my computer? Computer info seems to indicate that there is a slot for one but I can't find any information to tell me if and how to do it.

Why would they have a graphics card slot and not be able to use it?

Hi,

As in my previous reply which clearly said: it ONLY has

 Expansion Slots:

    • One PCI Express half-length mini card socket
    • One PCI Express custom sized mini card socket

None of them (I repeat: None of them is for video card and repeat again: None of them is for video card). You need MXM slot for video card.

Regards.

Hi,

HP 23se-d4940 does not ring any bell. What is it ? Please check its label at the back.

Updated: I've found it, it is 23se-d494 and  its specs:

      http://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04085179

Its motherboard only has

  • Expansion Slots:
    • One PCI Express half-length mini card socket
    • One PCI Express custom sized mini card socket

No room for a MXM video card or you CAN'T add a video card to it.

Normally AiO machines use laptop components including MXM video cards.

Regards.

I appreciate your timely first reply. I asked the second question because you didn't make it clear to me, at least that none of those slots were for for video cards. Additionaly, the info from HP on this computer said:

*Integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed.
  • Integrated graphics are supported by the installed processor
  • One PCI Express x16 slot (Gen 2.0)

I really wasn't expecting you second, "snarky", reply to my question

I won't be using this forum again and won't be buying an HP computer in the future.
