I have an HP Wireless Elite Keyboard that was working fine on my old Dell system that crashed.
I have tried to hook it up to my new Dell Windows 7 64 bit system and can't get it to fire up. The batt looks OK and the software disc appears to be loaded OK.
Does anyone have a suggestions on what could be wrong?

Hello barrybear, You might try going to the Control Panel, Devices and Printers, and in the upper menu bar, select add device.
Then see if the device can be found. If so, Windows 7 may install the drivers for it.
Even though the keyboard worked on an earlier system, it may not be compatible with the newer Dell system.
Bluetooth specifications have changed over the years.

Thanks for the comeback. I did what you suggested but still cant get it to work.
When I plug the USB receiver in the keyboard icon shows up in the devices list so I assume the computer recognizes it.
The box indicates it is compatible with windows 7.
There's a connect button on the back of the keyboard and I ve clicked it..
I've unplugged the Dell keyboard connector from the back of the computer.
The battery indicates FULL.
Just can't figure it out.

I'm having the exact same problem. My HP wireless elite worked with my old laptop, plug and play, even if I didn't install any software. However, it won't connect with my new one. Plugging in the USB hub the computer says it loaded the driver fine, but no output from the keyboard at all. I've pressed and held the connect button on the keyboard multiple times. I loaded the software sucsessfully and it sees that the batteries are full. The device is shown in devices and printers and the status shows it's working fine. I tried the update the driver but it says the latest one is already installed. I went to the HP site and downloaded a new driver, anyway, but no luck. I've tried different batteries, as well.
I've tried it on 3 different computers. Two have Windows 7 and one has Windows XP 64 bit. I also had another HPW Wireless Elite keyboard bought a few years ago but never opened. It is showing the exact same symptoms.
I notice that the blue light on the usb hub only stays on for a few seconds when it's plugged in (both of them). I thought this light used to be on all the time, though it was plugged into the back of the computer.

I'm having the same problem - did anyone find a solution? When I try to search the product number in the support section, nothing shows up. Is this product discontinued?
