Same problem as yours. The last post says it was a software problem.

exactly. those links are to threads i started when i was having probs with my e9240f. haven't had a prob since i took out the dh403s & installed an lg drive. might also check your firewall settings, turned out the reason i was getting format unsupported errors was a firewall issue, not the drive or hp!

The AACS needs to updated periodically and the firewall might not allow some applications to get the updates. Be sure to use the update facility within the HP Multimedia application. Blu-Ray live access might also be causing issues.
