Hi all,

I have a new HP 8200 elite. I install a new image with Windows 7 Pro x64 and I install all the driver I found on HP.com. But I always have 2 unknown drivers. I found that both are in the " Intel(R) Active Management Technology (AMT) 7.xx " sp52247.exe but when I try to install it I become this error:

Driver install: Intel(R) Management Engine Interface

Version: 7.0.0.1144

And a Pop-up with the message:

Das Setup-Progamm konnte einen oder mehrere Gerätetreiber nicht installieren. Das Setup wird abgebrochen

In English: The setup progam could not install one or more device drivers. The setup is aborted

I try to install it manually in the "Hardware manager" from Windows. The "Intel(R) Active Management Technology - SOL (COM3)" is now ok but I can't Install the "Intel(R) Management Engine Interface" Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_1494103C&REV_04. I become always a error " It was Driver for the device found, but during installation an error occurred"

I Event Log I have this message:

The part of the registry don't exist in Windows 7.

I found out how it works this afternoon.

You have to right click on the hardware in the device menue, not in the manager.

In "start/geräte und drucker/(yourPC)"

Then you choose the option that microsoft should find a reason via internet and voila.

I haven't thought that it was that easy...

many thanks

Felix

Hi, Christophe:

I think you need to install the IMEI driver for Windows 7 in addition to the AMT driver:

Hi, Christophe:

I'm sorry.  It was too early in the morning here, and I must not have been completely awake, and I sent you the wrong version---for a notebook.  :generic:

This should be the correct driver:

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your answer.

The computer is by a customer and I'm not in place this week. My customer will test this and I give you a feedback as soon as possible.

I just made some other test with this computer last week, and at end I do a sysprep /generalize. After the deploy from this image the Driver was installed and working. But when I make a discover for new hardware I become always an error from this driver.

I ill do the tet with your driver now.

Thanks Christophe

Just strang...

With this driver it's not better. I become always the same error and I just see that I already try this driver.

I ask me if I don't have a hardware issue with this computer. I will try with an other hardware but only in 1 month.

Thanks for your help.

I also didn't  find any solution for the problem of the driver with the Hardware ID

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1C3A&SUBSYS_1494103C&REV_04

I have a couple of PCs I'd like to reinstall with a Window 7 Prof.

I also saved from a pre-installed PC all drivers, but the System give me the error message, that no driver was found.

And no driver from the homepage fits....

I really don't have any idea anymore. It is disastrous.

Please help me

Hi, Felix:

I have found that there is an issue with the MEI driver and the 8200 when installing it.

Please read this: It apples to XP, but should also work with Windows 7 too.

http://rikkoss.wordpress.com/2011/08/02/intel-ime-windows-xp-driver-issue-on-hp-8200-elite-sff-pc/

Try the procedure when after you install this driver:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=US&swItem=vc-933...

Hi, Felix:

I'm very glad you found the solution to the issue when running Windows 7.

It will help others too.
