Thanks - figured there had to be another step as each time I restarted/shut down the QuestionMark re-appeared.

I did this, but each time I reboot, that pesky Icon reappears on the taskbar and I have to do it all over again.  How can I get rid of it *permanently*?

HP Recommended

No that does not work as a PERMANENT solution!!!  I routinely five times a day clicked on the taskbar, then clicked "toolbars" and deselect HP Support Assistant.  Stupid little icon pops back up about an hour later each time.

Hi.

I'm sorry for my bad english.

I've definitely solved the problem in subject, following istructions in message # 10 in this thread, published by TRI user, expecially in the step 2 of his solution that I didn't know (I only performed step 1 on my own and on the next boot the icon was again on the taskbar).

I try to re-propose the PERMANENT solution in step 2 of message #10 by TRI

Spoiler
2... Run 'HP Support Assistant' software ---> At the top-right side Click 'Settings' command --->When the 'Settings' screen is open to scroll down to look for 'Choose how you would like to be notified.' ---> Then Uncheck the first check box 'Display an icon in your taskbar...' ---> Then Click the 'Save' command at the bottom-right side. ---> Then close it!

Thanks TRI !!!

Bye, Sandro
