I recently bought my hp pavilion dm4 but unfortunately turned off the hp simple pass with fingerprint reader. How do I turn it back on and can I will it work with FireFox 4.0?

You will need a new version of SimplePass to work with Firefox 4 or IE9.
First of all you will need to uninstall your current version of SimplePass - open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry for HP SimplePass and select Uninstall. When done, restart the notebook. Be aware that there does not appear to be a way of transferring your registered passwords to this later version, so these will need to be re-entered again.
Next, download the following file.
This should work for IE9 or Firefox 4. This is a zipped file. If you don't have an extraction utility installed, download and install 7-Zip which can be used to open this so that you can run the installer. Again, when the installation has completed, restart the notebook.

Hi, I bought my HP a few weeks ago and was able to use simplepass right away. Now the light that is usually to the left of the bar wont let up and when I click on HP Simplepass in the start menu I receive the message "Sensor not connected. Please connect sensor and try again." How do I go about doing this so I can continue to use the simplepass?
