I wanted to purchase replacement software for an older compaq armada 7800 laptop. Here is the transcript of my chat log. At first I thought I was speaking only to a computer which is irritating enough but what makes it worse is that this is a live person. This sucks! We have decided not to deal with the old laptop and will be buying a brand new dell. I'm sure dell will be no better but at least this person responding to my questions won't be working there during the ordering process. Thanks hp for the wonderful chat, laced with advertisements.

Not sure if you are still hanging around reading these posts.
What happened is that it appears that you went into the wrong chat area. This looks like a chat from our pre-sales area. You needed to go into the post sales support area for your product and find the chat option for your laptop. It would exist on the product support page for your laptop.
However, in this case, it appears the armada 7800 laptop is old enough that there isn't chat support offered for you. What replacement software are you looking for?
My role on the forum is to help make this experience the best. Please let me know if the forums aren't working as good as they should be.
