Re: Technical Support -- Frustration and run-around

[ Edited ]

not to make issue here

but i prefer to buy HP computers

becuase i know how to deal with it

and know what to do

but for some other computers beside HP

some say they have good luck

on them but for some until

there is some trouble with their unit

which I have heard plenty stories

HP computers is what i will buy

and the stuff I can do is something

that other computers do not have

the old golden days when 95 and 98 was

around  there were good other beside

HP and now some of them are not as good as

what HP has to offers   i can name a few that

once was good but now no more

but now HP is the best for your choice

and have greater varity of computers to printers

to other add-on devices  which far exceeds what

other computer manufactures and add-ons devices

can do and produce

HP Products have alot different devices relating to computers

for you

and you as the customer do the homework

about the product that you want to purchase

and ask youself what do I need and what I am using it for

and HP has many options for you

Re: Technical Support -- Frustration and run-around

Thank you, Dani!  I appreciate your sending my frustrations on to the management team.  I didn't know how to find someone I could voice them to. I appreciate the link to the website for technical help via live chat, as well.

Re: Maybe we all should buy another product in the future, I hear Dell is very good.

Two recent experiences I have had with Dell machines.

1.Owner reinstalled from disks_no audio.Dell does provide an OS cd and App & Driver cd which many prefer over HP's all inclusive Recovery set.It does have it's advantages_if it works properly. In this case the OS disk reinstalled Windows correctly, but the App & Driver disk which is supposed to scan for hardware and offer correct drivers to install repeatedly mis-detected audio. After failing to install it suggested to reboot and try again, which I did 3 times before deciding something was not right.Went to Dell site, found another audio driver listed for the model..downloaded,installed...wow sound at last.

2.Owner's machine is out of warranty..motherboard dead.Shopped around for a compatible replacement,I thought.Replaced old board with new, started hooking everything up,all good until I tried to plug in the power button wires to board_2 inches too short to reach. The old board's pins were on the front edge, new boards pins were on the bottom corner. No extra wire  what so ever! Talk about penny pinching.

Just my 2 cents.
