Omen X 900-000T
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

@HP

How do I get in touch with the Omen X product specialist? I spent 2 hours with HP's India tech support and he couldn't help.

The case is beautiful, but has glaring issues:

1) The supplied power supply adapter doesn't fit Corsair's AX power supply.

2) The front/rear bezels are flimsy. I carefully pried them off, but their plastic clips still broke off.

3) The "hardware reference manual" provides little instruction on how to tear down the case. I need to access the drive cages and SATA cables.

Thank you.

This video may help, but it sounds like you've got the process covered.

Is it the front IO power connector (4 pin) that you are having trouble with or the PSU-AC cable that is the go between the PSU and the power calbe going to the wall?

I support call would need to be put in to have the panels replaced, but lets see if @Chimney_83 can help get someone in contact with you. 🙂

Thank you! You nailed it. I am having trouble with the PSU-AC cable that goes between the PSU and the power cable going to the wall.  The female end of the PSU-AC cable doesn't fit the PSU. Please see attached pictures.

I would appreciate having the bezels replaced. I probably spent 10 minute per bezel to remove them slowly, but the plastic clips still broke. I wish a spring loaded metal cover -- like the L-shaped cover -- was used throughout the case.

Thanks again. Really appreciate your help.

Wow, yeah, that not going to work.

Let me ask the design team to see if this sort of thing was accounted for,

While I am waiting to hear back, some items of note:

That plug is on the PSU because it's a 1500W PSU and is a legal requirement for that wattage.

This PSU will require a spesific power cable to handle the load, as well. (It should have come with a heavy gage cable)

It's a NEMA 6-15 port. These are the requirements.

It will , most likely, blow any power bar you plug it into so it's best to be plugged directly into the wall socket with no intueruption points. You'll also probably want nothing else plugged into that wall outlet circut, too, or you will blow the breaker. 🙂

Also, the specs for tht PSU say "of 115V or higher".

Homes are 90-120V, and the line into your house can sag to 90V legally, so they are kind of saying "under the best conditions".

I am awaiting confirmation, but I will have a feeling we didn't make the backplate for this sort of PSU.

Thank you so much. I look forward to your update.

I'm actually speaking with the support team now.

We don't have that the C14 to C19 go-between for the Omen. There are things like this you can use, but it's gonna be a case mod with this one. (Or just leave that PSU panel off.)

The replacement panels are no problem, though.
Stand by while I get the right contacts in order.

Thank you. Is the C14 to C19 adapter safe to use?

I can't see why not, but keep in mind we haven't tested anythung like this yet.

As an old Voodoo PC guy, I wouldn't. Anything additional is a point of failure.
I sent you with a Private mesage on an additional cable that has a 90 degree plug at the PSU side. You could remove the existing adapter cable and feed the new one through the opening on the panel.

That way it's one continuous cable from the PSU to the wall.
