Word file error in use

Need help in opening a corrupted word file.
Your help is highly appreciated.

error: " The office open XML file xxxx.docx cannot be opened because there are problems with contets"

              Since you mentioned that you are getting error-error: " The office open XML file xxxx.docx cannot be opened because there are problems with contets". Please go though the instructions below hope this should take of your issue.

DOCX file can get corrupt due to intrusion of harmful viruses like Macro virus and thus the file errors out when tried to open

Hi,
Have you tried the following?
1. Open MS Word and click on File and then Open as if you were normally going to open the file.
2. Now select the file you want to open by single-clicking on it, do not double-click the file. Now instead of clicking on Open, click on the small arrow at the far right of the Open button and choose Open and Repair.
3. Thats it! Word will repair the document and open it for you.
If for some reason the built-in repair feature of Word does not work, you can also download a damo version of program called "Word Recovery Toolbox" from here: http://www.oemailrecovery.com/word_repair.html
