Envy 4520 all in one
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The printer will print documents from Word, and other programs but NOT from the internet. I checked the network the printer is connected to and I am connected to that network. I checked to see if it was a driver issue as I didn't see one when I checked the device. I downloaded it but it didn't make a difference. I do see a network called  Direct 85-HP Envy 4520 series as well listed in the network connections options but when I select that option, I have no internet connection, only the printer. I want to be able to be on the internet and be able to print from it. Please help, thank you.

Hi,

It sounds like you are using the wireless direct feature of your printer which allows your printer to generate it's own wifi signal and for your laptop/PC to connect directly to - the drawback to this being that it ties up your laptop/PC signal to the printer and prevents internet access.

The best way to print wirelessly while still being able to use the internet on your device is to connect both your printer and your laptop/PC to your home wifi signal. You should turn off any wireless direct features active on your printer off and connect both to you home wifi signal (not the Direct 85-HP Envy 4520 series signal).

Pages 36 - 37 of the user guide below shows how to setup the wireless connection.
