Operating System: Android 6.0 Marshmallow
My printer does not wake up from sleep mode and turn on when I want to print from my phone; and therefore my phone can't find the printer. The auto-off feature is set to OFF so I know this is not what is causing it. Help!

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums for a solution to your printer issue.

 

I understand that when you try to print from your Android to your HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer the print will not wake up from sleep mode to print. I would like to help with that.

 

I would start by checking the printer's firmware. This document can help with that - Getting Printer Updates for HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer Series.

 

Next I would try following the steps listed in this support document designed to help with printing from Android devices - Troubleshooting Mobile Printing Issues When Using Mopria Print Service.

 

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.
