I have used the procedure listed, and still receive the email without the attachment . This does not seem to assist with the problem on my officejet 6600. Thanks for trying.

Undortunately, procedure as advised does not work for me.
Thanks anyway.

I think HP shuld be easily able to check the problem themselves as it can be recreated. So, I hope for some results.

BTW. The interesting thing is that it works once in a while. I scanned many docs using scan to email and very few emails had the attachment, the vast majority did not.

HP Team,

any news??
As I said the scan to mail functionality is great , if it works. Since it worked reliably for months (since I started to buy HP OJ printers (5 of them) ) I use it for many purposes which greatly increased productivity. As a workaround we can use fax and scan to computer /network folder, but it is not the same as it involves another step.
So, I hope that it will be fixed soon.
Thanks!!!

Hello,

I do not have any updates yet, although some people have mentioned that a few of their scan to emails are going through just fine, but the percentage of success is fairly low right now.

The Scan to Email attachment doesn't go through on my Officejet 6600 either.  Just starting having problems this week.

Fix did not work on a 6600, drat.

I tried again many times on my printers OJ 8500 and 8600 and scan to mail working is rather the exception, than the, rule.
As I think the issue can be easily recreated,by HP as well (they should have those printers, too, shouldn't they 😉
I really hope that HP gives this some, attention as I cannot, use,it,for, almost a week now.

I have recreated it on multiple models as well, with multiple settings. From what I have seen those using photosmarts are the ones where the attachments are intermittently sending. At this point its just a matter of them finding out exactly where things are going wrong and fixing that, which can take some time.

I JUST took my Officejet 6700 Premium out of the box and the Scan-to-email did not work at all--exactly what everyone is saying that the email comes through yet without the attachment.

I also tried the suggestions on the post to turn off/turn on, unplug, to no avail.  Argh!!

a change ,-) Meanwhile, I even do not get an eMail anymore let alone one with attachment. Seems there is no eMail sent anymore from ePrint server. And.. NO,it is not my Spam filter ,-)
So, no emails without attachments anymore.. no eMails at all. Progress? Not really. I want my scan to eMail function back. Please!!!

Pretty messy....
