Hi there,

I have set up my printer on Eprint Center so my colleague can print to my printer remotely. However everything he prints comes out in colour at my end. He said there is no option on his end to choose whether they come through in colour or B&W.

I need to print in colour myself sometimes, but everything he sends only needs to be B&W. Is there a way to set all printing through HP Eprint to B&W only? (aside from him having to convert each file to B&W before sending them)

Thanks in advance,

Josiah

Hi,

The ePrint service do mot support b&w printing, however you do able to achieve a such using the ePrint app.

from a mobile device install the HP ePrint app and add your printer's ePrint address.

You may then print documents (PDF, office, web sites or emails as b&w

for a computer install the HP ePrint mobile driver and add your ePrint address and print to the HP ePrint queue:

Hi,

Have you set your printer up to print B&W as default ?

Updated: I just ran a test with my new (few days old) loan HP OJ Pro 8620 printer. No what he sees is what he gets. It will print colors when your friend sends attachments to it to print. But when on a same network and NOT using ePrint services, he can set his computer to use B&W only.

In short, he needs to convert to B&W before sending.

Regards.

Hi banhien,

Thanks for your answer, much appreicated. That's a pity Eprint doesn't have the functionality to choose between colour and B&W. We might have to look at using a different way to print remotely.

Cheers,

Josiah
