Hello Forum,

we have a brand new HP 5520 out of the box. Connects to wireless and PC fine. From the iPad and iPhones we can use Safari to go to the printers IP and see ink status so we know we are connected. When we try to use air print is says

No AirPrint Printers Fond.

All the blurb says this is airprint. We've checked that the printer is up to date. We've used the iphones to print to the HP8600 in the office OK.

Any advice please. Thanks in advance.

Regards, Dave Goodman

Thanks for the prompt reply. Tried all that. We know we are connected as we can access the printer via Safari. The forums are full of people having the same problem with the 5520 and returning them. We'll try with an 8600.

I'm not able to get this printer to work either. It's fine from a print from a pc but it does not work with my ipads and iphones!

Please help me, I have spent so mtuch time on this brand new printer that does not want to print what is beeing sent to it.

Same printer same problem.

Printing from PC works.

Printing from Ipad IOS 7 - no airprint-printer available. I tried both when both printer and Ipad is connected to my accesspoint and with the direct printing feature, where the Ipad is connected directly to the printer via WiFi.

The Ipad wasn't updated first time I tried so I also tested with IOS 6 without luck.

And yes, I also tired both turning off the printer and the Ipad and starting them in the right order and making sure that printer firmware is up-to-date...

Is there any fix for this or should I return the printer?

Hi MixIt. The Photosmart 5520 certainly works with Airprint. The only factors that can prevent it from working are going through a router that doesn't support Bonjour (Multicasting), or having 'Bonjour' disabled in the printer settings (it is on by default).

This will have the steps to troubleshoot standard Airprint issues. See the section "What if a 'No AirPrint Printers Found' message displays on my Apple"
How to Use Apple's AirPrint Over a Wireless Network:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02623193

This is the troubleshooting people have using to fix Airprint issues after the iOS7 upgrade.

If you could Airprint before the iOS7 update these steps should get you back up and running.
Essentially the step removing and re-adding your network on the iPad is the fix.
