MD2000H external backup drive not recognized on Windows 10, is software being developed? This HP product was not cheap a couple of years ago and has backup data on it.

I see your Windows 10 computer it not recognizing your HP SimpleSave md2000h External Hard Drive. I will be glad to help.
Have you checked in Device manager?
Have you tried different USB ports?
Did you use any application to backup data on the external HDD?
May I know which computer are you using the HDD with (Desktop/Notebook)?
Request you to open device manager and check for any unknown devices.
If you see any unknown device listed, please right-click on it and check for driver updates.
If you do not see any unknown devices, please check in disk management, which can be accessed under Computer management by right-clicking on the Windows button.
Make sure to have the power adapter connected for the external HDD.
Please do a Windows update when the Hard Drive is connected.
