The plastic outside of the cd drive that allows you to open the cd tray fell off, is there a way to replace it?

Greetings @Tabrand98,

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are looking for a way to replace the front plastic casing of the optical drive on your computer. Happy to help.

Have you checked the article for the procedure to replace the optical drive?

It the best of my knowledge, in some models, the front plastic casing of the optical drive has clamps and you can just snap it to the optical drive back.

However, I can't find any information on the model you are using for the plastic clamp.

Please refer to this HP article for the video/procedure to remove the optical drive from your computer.

Remove the optical drive and inspect and check if you can snap the plastic casing back on the computer.

If you are looking to order a new optical drive for your computer. You can visit our websites mentioned below or contact our phone support.
