Re: Buying a new SSD, need recommendations!

I would like to compare against my Corsair F160. Use ATTO benchmark utility, it's free and recommended by SSD users..

Re: Buying a new SSD, need recommendations!

I have had the SSD on my desk for a week now, but I am still waiting on the 2nd hard drive caddy from NewModeUS. Here are the tracking numbers, just in case you want them. If it's not here by Friday, I'm going to call about it, because I bought the SSD and caddy on the same day, and as I said, I have had the SSD for a week, so it shouldnt take that long.

Re: Buying a new SSD, need recommendations!

OK, all set up, and Windows boots up amazingly fast, and all my apps start faster too! ATTO says this: http://db.tt/uejekoRq I am extremely satisfied with this. I had several BSODs first, but I updated the firmwarealigned the partitions, disabled stuff, followed the rest of this, installed my apps with ninite and now I'm all ready to go! Thanks for all your help guys.

(PS newegg has some great sales now, it's a better version of the one I got, for the same price, a week after I bought it :smileysad:  )

The benchmark is similar to mine F160 SATA II. I thought it would be a bit faster but I see that a SATA III SSD works at the same performance like a SATA  II one. I will do a benchmark of my drive and post the result in here for a comparison..
