Hi,

I have checked a service manual for all compatible wireless cards but couldn't find any Intel WiDi wireless card. However, the service manual lists all wireless chips like for dv6-7000 series laptops. I believe that you can use an Intel Advanced-N 6235. The chip can be bought from www.provantage.com listed as Intel WL WiFi 6235AN.HMWG.

Hi,

You can find the Intel WiDi requirents on the folloiwng link:

   http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/iwd/sb/CS-031059.htm

and the following link shows the specs of your machine:

   http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/TOMI/callcenter_only/C2H77UA

The video card and wireless card could be big problems, they will stop you to upgrade. You may also need new motherboard too. If you wish, you still can replace many things but Total adding up: buy a new machine.

Regards.

I think he should be able to use for WiDi the integrated HD 4000 on the CPU and perhaps the Advanced-N 6235 because it works on dv6-7000 series laptops with the same Intel chipsets.
