Re: Cpu upgrade

[ Edited ]

Hi:

According to the service manual, chapter 1, page 1 you can upgrade to the 3530MX

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02842278.pdf

Chapter 3 does not indicate different heatsinks or fans for processors, since you already have the A6.

Re: Cpu upgrade

Look at chapter 3 for the list of processors and part #'s, then enter any you are interested in at that link.

If you don't live in the USA, change the country at the top, and you will get the pricing and availability where you live.

Re: Cpu upgrade

Yes, and so are the ones with the M (3500M for example).

Basically, as I see it, here are your 3 choices:

AMD A8-3530MX 2.60-GHz processor, (1.90-GHz FSB, 4.0-MB L2 cache,

quad core, 45 W) 653364-001

AMD A8-3510MX 2.50-GHz processor (1.80-GHz FSB, 4.0-MB L2 cache,

quad core, 45 W) 653358-001

AMD A8-3500M 2.40-GHz processor (1.50-GHz FSB, 4.0-MB L2 cache,

quad core, 35 W) 653350-001
