DV6t-1200 Hinges

I need to replace the hinges on a HP Pavillion DV6t-1200 notebook part number FV161AV with a 16" screen. The HP Parts store shows 2 different part numbers for a 16" screen DV6t.

512360-001 or 513477-001 and the only description difference is one is for a "full glass sized panel" which doesnt tell me much. The part number stamped on the hinges is FBUT3029010 Hinge RT and FBUT 3030010 Hinge LT. Can anyone tell me the correct hinges to order for this notebook please?

Thanks for your ti,e

Re: DV6t-1200 Hinges

Hey dwdooley,

This is a great question. I brought up the Maintenance and Service Guide for this one. Here is a link to that manual.

On page 45:

512360-001 Display Hinge Kit for use only with computer models equipped with 16-inch BrightView display panels
(includes left and right hinges)

513477-001 Display Hinge Kit for 16-inch AntiGlare displays (includes left and right hinges)

Part 513477-001 is pictured on page 87 and part 512360-001 is pictured on page 90. It would be important to know if you customized your computer to come with a BrightView display or an AntiGlare display. The Note on pages 83 and 87 is informative. BrightView would've been the standard and AntiGlare would have been an upgrade. If you're unsure at all, private message me your serial number and I'll find out for you.

I hope this clears up the confusion on that. Sorry for that confusion. Please let me know if you have any questions :smileyhappy:

Re: DV6t-1200 Hinges

512360-001 is for HP DV6 16" LCD Hinges FBUT3030010  L FBUT3029010 (Right). I just ordered a set. Expensive buggers!
