Can anybody tell me what black material is used at the fan enclosure circular base that seals it so no hotair can escape whilst been expelled from the chips in the image above?

The reason I ask is that I inadvertently disturbed it and it crumbled with the pressure of my fingers before I realised it was there.

I just want to reapply this sealant when I reassemble after doing the copper shim and thermal pads mods.
