HP has a web site, open to everyone, where one can look up the product code (spare part number) for all HP products:

http://partsurfer.hp.com

Partsurfer also indicates if a certain spare part has been replaced by another, or is no longer in production.

With the part number found in HP partsurfer(c) , you can ask your local PC repair shop about prices and availability.

Alternatively , eBay or any search engine can fetch you lots of alternative sellers for second hand parts...

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

'Morning,

I need a small replacement part that gives me a big headache. I had to replace my HP Pavilion keyboard and bought new (original) one. However when disconnecting it from the housing and when "unplugging" I broke the small plastic hinge - not sure how to better describe it. Where can I buy a spare one as it is virtualy impossible to make the keyboard work...tried with scotch-tape etc...but 1/2 letters and keys don't work. I'm desperate as I need my laptop for work and this is turning into a frustrating nightmere....thanks in advance.

Hey Marink,

I understand you need the part that clips or locks the Keyboard into place.

I would be happy to get the part number or locate if the part is available but I will need your model number.

A work around would be to USB connect a regular Keyboard.

Let me know.

Thanks
