Hello,
I have a HP Pavilion DV7-4083CL with 2 x 2GB of DDR3 RAM. I think they are 1066MHz.
I would like to upgrade the RAM to 2 x 4GB.
Should I care about the RAM being 1333MHz or 1066MHz?
If it is 1333MHz will it be really faster, or will it just operate at 1066MHz?
Or even operating at 1333MHz it will not make any difference?
What's the difference between "Unbuffered" and "not Unbuffered"?
Will Kingston KTL-TP1066/4 ('designed for Lenovo systems', the vendor says) be fine on the HP DV7-4083CL?
(it is the only one available right now...)
Thanks!

You can use the 1333 MHz and it will work, but the system may still run at 1066 Mhz and probably will.
Here is a small article on buffered and unbuffered RAM.

The Lenovo RAM should work just fine in your HP machine if it's for a laptop, desk top RAM will not work in a laptop. You're not going to hurt anything by trying it, it will either work or it won't.
