Hello!

I saw some pictures of the motherboard of my laptop online, and seemingly there is a slot that holds the CPU, so it isn't soldered to the motherboard. Does this make it upgradeable?

Also, has somebody ever tried this? I don't know if I wanna risk a couple hundred bucks by just seeing what supposingly is my motherboard!

Hi,

There is s list of CPU's supported on the manual called "Service and maintenance information" on the following link:

   http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/public/psi/manualsResults?sp4ts.oid=3988093&ac.admitted=1...

Replacing CPU by yourself will void the warranty.

Regards.

Thanks for this info! Last two questions:

I found a CPU on ebay and its the model that the manual says, the same part number too, can I buy it without any problem and it will fit?

Also, i think my CPU now is 2.0ghz and 800mhz and the one im looking for is 2.9ghz and 1333mhz i think.. can I put it it anyways?
