I have a Hpdv6-3259wm notebook and am confused about the memory upgrade. The product info says uprade max is 8gb but the system says that windows 7 64bit is unlimited....can someone clarify this for me? I want to upgrade my memory but am currently in a state of confusion....

Hi,
Windows 7 64bit can support up to 192Gb of memory ( this is for the Ultimate, Enterprise and Professional versions only ), however the 8Gb limit you see for your notebook is due to the Motherboard and it will not support more than 4Gb per slot.
This is also confirmed by the upgrade option on Crucial.com
Memory limits for Windows 7 can be found Here.
