Hi,

I have an HP Pavilion dv6 that currently has the factory warranty. I was wondering if it covered a keyboard replacement, because some keys that I rarely use are getting loose, like the right alt key. I was also wondering if it covered a battery replacement, because it's lifespan is much shorter than it was when this laptop was new.

Oh, and if it does cover replacements for both those parts, how might I go about getting the replacements?

Hello, yes it covers the keyboard - also the battery if the battery is not more than one year old.

So I just have to call HP tomorrow to get a replacement? Or do I have to ship my laptop to their store?

(I currently live in the United States and have always lived here, and the product was bought here as well)

Ok you are in good shape, for the battery we will send it to you at no cost if under warranty- ask them if they can send the keyboard as well, some models are End user replaceable.
