HP 650
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have a old HP 650: http://www.amazon.it/HP-650-Notebook-Processore-i7-4702MQ/dp/B00JFL8WO6

If you see the specs, it's a little outdated. I use it for the work (i open many tabs on Chrome and various programs) and in the last week i have some performance issues...

I have tried to buy another ram of 4GB with some results, but i think that buying a new processor can be a good solution.

Can i do it? What processor do you suggest me for this notebook?

Thank you for your assistance!

Thank you.

Processors are very even performance for that reason I would not have felt the change, herewith a comparative example

The complete list of supported processors socket G2 HM70 chipset is:

Intel Pentium processors (2.0-MB L3 cache, dual core, 35 W)
2030m 2.50-GHz
2020m 2.40-GHz
B980 2.40-GHz
B970 2.30-GHz
B960 2.20-GHz
B950 2.10-GHz

Intel Celeron processors (2.0-MB L3 cache, dual core, 35 W)
1020m 2.1 GHz

Hi,

If the motherboard has HM70 chipset only it supports Pentium and Celeron.

Run CPU-Z mainboard item.

I use much Chrome and some software...my PC slowed so i bought another 4gb of ram. Do you think that's better to change processor or buy a ssd disk if you want a faster PC?

Do you know any processor better than my that i can buy for 60/70$?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Excuse me if I insist, but it is important to know if the motherboard chipset is Intel HM70 or HM75, because that would make the difference in processor that can be installed.

Yo creo que el chipset es HM70, pero es mejorestarseguros

Run CPU-Z mainboard item.
