List of CPUs for HP DV7

Hi all,

I've bought a HP DV7 2198eo with following product and serial number:

p/n:VF434EA#UUW

s/n:CNF92620J2

Then yesterday I bought the new Battlefield 3 which requires a CPU on at least 2.4 Ghz and I only have a CPU on 2.0 Ghz. That made me think that I might need to buy a new computer(which i can't afford) but then I saw this link:

It says that you can replace the CPU but I can't find a better cpu that fits in my computer ? Is there anyone that could please help me find one ? Maybe HP has a list of all the CPU that fits?

Which chipset does CPU-z show as installed in your notebook's systemboard/

I think it is the standard:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor P7350 ; 2 GHz, Level 2 cache 3 M

Only on change, it runs with windows 7 64-bit, all the hardware should be the same

Not quite. depends on the configuration. Which northbridge and southbridge is installed in yours?
It varies between notebooks with UMA graphics and versions with higher end discrete graphics modules (sometime switchable).

How do I check this? and how do I use the cpu-z website ?

Just choose the latest version, download it and run the utility by double clicking on the downloaded executable.
