Memory upgrade for Pavilion g6-2239dx

Hello,

Just purchased a Pavilion g6-2239dx with Windows 8 this weekend and would like to upgrade the memory. The product specifiations page does not list memory speed or max memory supported, only that it has 4GB DDR3 SDRAM (1 DIMM).

Can someone please advise me on max memory supported for the g6-2239dx and what speed?

Thanks!

Re: Memory upgrade for Pavilion g6-2239dx

Hi,

The maximum supported Ram is 8Gb - ie 2 x 4Gb DDR3 PC3 12800 (1600MHz ) modules.  The replacement procedure is detailed on Page 46 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.
