Product: HP Pavilion dv7-6015tx Entertainment Notebook PC
I am running Windows 7 32-bit OS
I have 4GB of RAM, 2.45GB useable.
Extensive hardcore gaming leads to RAM being swallowed up.
I have physical memory of 4096MB (1 x 4096 DDR3-SDRAM )
Would getting more RAM be possible on this laptop with a 32-bit OS?
Would getting faster RAM be possible on this laptop?

Hi,
Your notebook will support a maximum 8Gb of DDR3 ram ( 2 x 4Gb Modules ) running at 1333MHz ( 10600 ). You would need to install a 64bit version of Windows 7 to be able to access ram above 4Gb.

Ok, given that I will keep my 32-bit OS
Is it possible to change my RAM to 4GB at 1333MHz?

Hi,
I think the memory you already have installed is running at 1333MHz - you can check this by downloading and installing CPU-Z on the link below.
http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
When installed, run the program, click the SPD tab ( if the memory module is not in the first slot, change to slot 2 in the dropdown box ) - if the the Max Bandwidth is shown as PC3-10700 or PC3-10600 your memory is running at 1333MHz.

The maximum bandwidth does say PC3-10700
however next to it, it explicitly says 667MHz
what does that mean?

Hi,
That's the correct value as this is double data rate ram ( DDR ) ie 2 x 667, so you have the fastest ram your notebook can run.
