have an pavilion dv 1000 that works fine am experinceing low ram would like to upgrade to 4 gb so i can run windows 7, can i do this?   and what and were do i find 4 gb raam

Hi:

 

My recommendation is to run the free Crucial memory scan tool and then buy the memory from Crucial as they guarantee compatiblity.

I do not think your model will take more than 2 GB of memory and that is if it has a pentium processor.

 

If it has a celeron processor, according to the service manual, the max is only 1 G.

 

See chapter 1 page 1-2.
