Replace WLAN card Pavilion DV6-1325SO

Hi,

I get the 104 error when booting my HP with a new wlan card.

How can i fix this? I know about the BIOS lock, but how can i install a different BIOS that supports my new card?

This must be the worst type off block to a normal customer. My wlan card is broken so i need to change it, and wanted to install a card that supports linux.

Hope someone can help me.

You have to buy a card with a specific number. The maintenance and service guide on the laptop support webpage is for AMD based laptops. I have found a different manual for Dv6-1000 models and the best card for you should be an Intel 5100AGN pn: 480985-001. This card works out of the box on most of linux distributions.

The fisrt one has no SPS on it so probably not. The second one should work. The card must have the right number or it won't work and you get the 104 error..
