What SATA does the HP Mini 210-4120ea support? the manual speaks of SATA generically without making any specification?
Will a mid-range SSD go to waist or will it use it well?
Finally, is this a 2.5 inch drive that will be replaced or a 1.8?
Many thanks!

Hi:
Your answer can be found at the link below regarding SATA III support...SATA II only.

Thanks Paul, i thought it would be plain old sata, so Sata II may be a bonus (if there is a difference) . The Sata 3 drive will still work ok right? since there aren't any Sata2 drives on the market it should do i guess

You're very welcome.
SATA II is a "bonus" over SATA -- especially with regard to a SSD.
Yes, your SATA III SSD will work just fine with the SATA II controller, but you may have been able to save a little money if you could have gotten a SATA II SSD--and I only say that because there will be no advantage to having a SATA III SSD in your notebook over a SATA II one.
However, someday you can transfer your SATA III SSD to a PC whose controller supports SATA III.

You're right Paul, i got a sata 3 drive last year because there weren't any sata 2's on the market. I guess that there werent that many sata 2 ssd's with 64 gb at the time - perhaps 4,8,16 and maybe 32 sizes.
ANyway, thanks once again!
