Hi guys, I need your expertise!
I installed a crucial m500 120 gb SSD in my msata slot in order to use it as system disk (NOT as cache disk!).
Before, I switched off hdd accelleration in the Intel Rapid Storage menu. I can see the SSD in the Explorer as a separate disk and cloned my HDD partition with Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 4.0. However, in the BIOS (F.12) and in the boot options, the disk is not shown. If I boot without the HDD no bootable disk is found.
Is this a BIOS issue/can a BIOS update fix this? If yes, since there is only a Win8 update available, would an update with Win7 be possible somehow?
I know that the sleekbook hardware supports bootable SSDs: I successfully upgraded a Sleekbook 14-b083eg to a 120gb msataSSD system disk. (see Chat ID:48997789; Service Ticket Number: 8066059670)
Thanks so much for your help!

We do not have access to Chats and Service Tickets. You can use the mSATA mSSD as a boot disk only if another SATA hard drive is not present. Otherwise the mSATA mSSD can only be a cache drive.

It is specific to all HP laptops with the mSATA mSSD other than a couple of the small business model laptops that use only mSSD hard drives. If you got the b083eg to boot from the mSSD with a regular SATA drive present just do whatever you did there again and please post it here because a lot of people want to know how to do that.

I just checked the BIOS of the b083eg. It is F.18.
So, in order to get the same preconditions, I have to upgrade.
Can I do a BIOS upgrade in win7 safely? Officially, the upgrade is for win8 only.
This might be the wrong forum for this question.
I just reposted the question here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Sy

I upgraded my BIOS to F.18 using a Win8 partition.
Then with HDD and msataSSD in place I made a clean install of Win7 (deleting all partitions, reformat thedisks and install Win7 on the SSD). Works fine now for a week, fast as a rabbit, hooray!
