Upgrade RAM on HP G60 647NR. Maxed out at 4 GB?

Getting conflicting messages on this.  HP's own website:  Have Vista running at 64 bits

Following is from HP website on determining how much you can upgrade laptops

Use the table below to determine the amount of RAM memory that is supported on your HP notebook PC.
Operating System Amount of RAM memory supportedWindows XP 1-2 GB Windows 7 and Windows Vista 32-bit 2-4 GB (Only about 3 GB will be used by the operating system) Windows 7 and Windows Vista 64-bit

Any amount of RAM is supported by the operating system.

But websites like Crucial say that it is maxed out at 4 GB

Please use plain text.

Re: Upgrade RAM on HP G60 647NR. Maxed out at 4 GB?

The published product specifications for your notebook also state maximum installed RAM is 4096. All of the reputable Memory upgrade vendors that I saw in a Google search also state 4GB.
